  14. I want to report some problems and inconsistencies with the new xdvik-18.b
  15.  
  16. 1. Karl's announcement claims, at least for kpathsea2.0 not to use "-g"
  17.    xdvik and dvips still use that option.
  18. 2. xdvik/INSTALL says:
  19.   -DSELFILE to enable SelFile widget support. Also uncomment the
  20.      definition of SELFILE in ./Makefile.in.
  21.    There is no reference to SELFILE in ./Makefile.in
  22. 3. Top 2. from xdvi/Install talks about kpathsea/paths.h.in, which doesn't
  23.    exist 
  24. 4. I wasn't able to get MakeTeXPK as default for xdvi. xdvik/INSTALL has a
  25.    reference:
  26.    * If MakeTeXPK isn't run: see -DMAKETEXPK above.
  27.    where DMAKTEXPK isn't found any more in the text
  28.    another reference in etc/INSTALL says:
  29.    -DNOMAKEPK to disable MakeTeXPK by default.  It can be disabled (or
  30.       enabled) at runtime, regardless (see the man page). MakeTeXPK must
  31.       echo the generated filename (and nothing else) to standard output.
  32.    where the assembled man-page in my case hasn't a reference
  33.    "xdvi +maketexpk (dvi-file)" still doesn't call MakeTeXPK
  34. 5. There should be some possibility to request a magnified postscrip-drawing
  35.    with the magnifying glass, as in previous versions.
